The Thanontok Terminal Station is a twin bored-tunnel underneath Rama IV road, one of the busiest roads in Bangkok. It is part of the deepest underground structures of Bangkok. Tunnel works like these, in crowded urban environments, require a modern tunneling technology, like EPB tunneling, that meets the targets on time and on budget.

Efficient backfill grouting requires ideal materials and a well experienced team to respond to a wide range of conditions in a short matter of time. As a well established drilling fluid supplier in Thailand, we have a good knowledge of local ground conditions in Bangkok which are usually characterized by Bangkok soft clay on the shallow layers and hard clay and sand deposits underneath. Our mud engineers were able to predict ground conditions and advice the most efficient backfill grout composition for this project.
